Recovery chamber
Recovery chamber is a simple-structure recovery system perfectly shuts off oil leakage out of the ship that might develop into a violation of MARPOL Annex I. The pressure on the recovery chamber is set under the seawater pressure and stern tube oil pressure in order to maintain sealing effect. The aft seal recovery chamber is connected to engine through a recovery piping. Under certain conditions, seawater or lube oil in the stern tube will penetrate the sealing rings and enters the recovery chamber. It is then will be recovered into the engine room through the recovery piping.
